Snow-rain?

22 Mar

Hello everyone! Just wanted to show you what it’s currently like in Edmonton right now. Snow! Again! Aish that unpredictable Alberta weather.

P.S. We’re expected to get about 10 cm of snowfall. So glad I still decided to wear winter gear to school.

Hello everyone!

Man, rediscovering photos that I should have posted up but here is one that I did commonly during the summer and now too. Brights are still popular even in the Fall/Winter makeup trend.

Review: Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisterizer with SPF 15

6 Apr

Hello everyone! A skincare review for you today, I just finished this product today and well here are my thoughts on it.

Review: I’m going to be honest and say that I absolutely hated hated this moisterizer. It didn’t feel like a moisterizer and it had weird sparkly bits in it. What I guess is good about it is that it does have SPF 15 (a bit low but perfect for winter time) it does sink in easily into the skin and there is no residue leftover. The pump mechanism on the bottle is really nice as it has a locking mechanism (perfect for travel). As stated before I really didn’t like this moisterizer even though I have oily skin I didn’t feel that it was moisterizing enough. And for the weird glittery bits in this well it’s small but still visible so when I catch my skin in the light sometimes I see glitter on my face. The glittery bits didn’t help with my oily skin as it made it look even more oily.

Cost: $19.99CDN @ any drugstore

Would I recommend this product? I would for those who have great normal skin who wants to give it a boost but for those with combination/oily skin stay away from this moisterizer.

Holiday Season

27 Oct

Hello everyone! So the holiday season is just around the corner! I can’t believe that Christmas is just around the corner. The holiday season is one of my favourite seasons seeing all the people get into bright happy spirits and everything just seems so sparkly and happy! So in celebration of the beginning of winter Mother Nature decided to reward us Canadians with the first snow fall of the year.

I am going to talk about something UBER delicious… CUPCAKES!!!
I made some yesterday just for my Japanese class mainly due to our skit which was a reenactment of Food Network shows borrowing inspiration from Hell’s Kitchen, Iron Chef America and other similar cooking challenge shows.

Here’s what they look like:

As you can see a very well done cupcake if I do say so myself. Today has been a fun day but now it is time to study hard for finals. So not that many posts will be up for the next two to three weeks as I will be concentrating on my studies but I will attempt to try and update as best as I can.

The weather has been absolutely horrible lately… curse Alberta weather it’s like winter outside… there’s even snow on the ground!

Review: Joe Fresh Blush in Pink

2 Mar

A review as stated above. Here is what the product looks like:

Review: So I picked up the blush because I thought it looked pretty in the pan and the packaging was so modern looking with the plastic and everything. When I first tried on this blush it was actually quite shimmery so I used a little next time and it illuminated my cheeks and overall a really nice highlight blush combination. As you can tell I have hit pan on this blush and I think that it is best to use this type of blush in the winter as it gives your skin this really nice glow. I found that it works nice in the summer as well I like to wear powder blushes in the summer just cause cream blushes tend to melt off my face due to the heat. The pigmentation isn’t that bad it isn’t overly sheer nor is it like heavy pigmentation something in between so just one or two swipes across your face will leave it with a nice pink color on your cheeks. As for the texture of the blush it is a nice powdery feel that just glides over your skin the powder is finely milled so there are no inconsistencies. Overall, I really liked this blush and would definately repurchase it.

Cost: $6.00CDN

Would you recommend this product to others? I totally would! Don’t be taken aback by the shimmers that this blush has and with just a $6CDN pricetag it is one of the cheaper and nice blushs you’ll ever try!

And it’s another Monday… sigh… still gotta prepare for my Chemistry Midterm on Fri. So for the next little while it just might be scheduled posts so that I don’t have to visit site very often to update and such.

I’ve been bouncing around ideas and was wondering

But something that has caught my eye yet again is…

And it sure is real…. or is it?

Anyways congratulations to all the Olympic atheletes who participated in the Games and made Canada proud! 14 Gold medals with a total of 26 medals! So proud of our atheletes!

P.S. The mascots bid you all farewell and hoped that you had a great time in Canada as they did.
