Project Update: Month 1

8 Jul

Hello everyone! Remember this post on my feelings about my makeup stash/hoard? Well, it’s been a month and one of the requirements was that I update you every month on how it was going.

I am really proud to say that this month I only purchased one item. ^o^ This is the product:

Yes, it is an OCC Lip Tar Stained Gloss version in Rhythm Box I couldn’t resist and had to get it. I love OCC Lip Tars and only have two (haven’t reviewed it either… I should get on that) and I thought that I would like to add this to my collection.

As for using facial masks I have to say that I haven’t used anything at all… so hopefully I can get myself into a routine of actually using up the face masks on a regular basis. I have a lot of the My Beauty Diary face masks that are considered as one-time uses but I am torn about keeping the packaging to show how many of the masks that I have used up. It just seems a little unsanitary to keep the little packs around… I probably will start keeping them though just to keep track.

I also started on the series of posts about my stash of products that I currently have and I am really surprised at how many products that I have in each section. So for this month (July) I plan on posting about the rest of the Face makeup products that I have then in late July/August I will start on my Lip and Eye products. The eye section will have to be definitely the most challenging one as I have a lot of singles and pigments. I think most of my makeup is eye makeup… but we will see and then after the makeup it will skincare then bath and body since they are all considered beauty items. I’m glad that I’m not someone who hoards hair products like no tomorrow but I think having that post will be good for me to ensure that the stash doesn’t grow any bigger.

With that I am glad that the previous month went pretty well and I look forward to what the next month holds. Maybe I will actually use up my five products limit…

I hope that this post wasn’t too boring to read but for me I think it is necessary to write down how I am going to have motivation to continue on. Until next time then!

MIA Again…

3 Nov

Hello everyone! Long time no blog but school has been whipping me sore on my behind. Which is why I haven’t been blogging it’s been a while but I hope to get back into it since it’s HOLIDAY SEASON AGAIN!!!!

I’m pretty much excited for the school year I’m actually doing pretty well (pretty good in 2/5 classes) but today I’m going to show you some things and update since I haven’t been active in like two months (I think that’s the longest I went MIA). BTW, my usual camera has gone MIA as well… I’m thinking that my mom put it somewhere and promptly forgot where she put it.

Here are my textbooks for this semester ($700 worth):

Blue Binder contains Management Textbook they had a binder version of the text for like $40 cheaper.

As for 20 things before 20 never finished a lot of the items… sooo much to do!! But I heard that there is a website called 101 things for 1001 days. OMG!!! Sounds pretty exciting! 1001 days is (assuming that a year has 365 days) about 2 years and 7 months? So I’m going to start my list on this site http://dayzeroproject.com/. Feel free to check it out but blogging at least once a week for a year is on that list.

As for other things in my life I’m pretty much on a Christmas high right now sooo many Holiday makeup collections are coming out so I’ll do a post later on about which ones that interest me a lot.

A few of my Christmas items are up now:

 (spot the eyeball?)

My desk is as messy as ever… when am I ever going to study on it?

Oh that reminds me I should take you around my area of our new room (my brother’s old room) since we did move a while back. I don’t think I showed you where everything is. Before the year ends I will have something up for sure.

Did you know that they are having currently Puss in Boots as McDonald’s Happy Meal toys?

Hope this post isn’t too long to read but I hope that everyone is having a great day!

Ending picture:

(oh yes it’s holiday time now)

Thoughts & Ends

10 Jan

Hello everyone! Ever since I have discovered that I have an & button I’ve been using it a lot! Even though it really doesn’t need to be used but don’t you think it’s cool? This post is on my thought of blogging and it comes from my heart to yours.

I’ve been blogging for a year, 2 months and a quarter (of a month) and I have to say my blogging skills still aren’t any better. I have learned how to schedule posts if I’m going to be gone, I can change themes and post pictures, and I have learned that people do stumble across blogs like mine and read it. I don’t think I have the most interesting content in the world but I had hoped that I could help people be a little more knowledgable and happy with their life. Sad to say after all this time I have no achieved my goal and I still think I have a long way to go.

So to improve myself and this blog I am going to begin to expand into the vast world of the internet. Gone will be the days of staying behind a screen and pictures this blog will become personal and hopefully helpful to many people. Places I hope to expand to are Youtube (which I have talked about so much I might as well begin there) and other social media networks. By doing video blogging or vlogging as it is liked to be called I can reach a wider audience with  a message I want to send (what kind of message it’s still to be decided). I hope that I can expand my world even further out than it is right now.

Finally I want to thank all those who read my blog and even those who just stumble on it because of you I could become a better person and have hopefully shared some of my happiness with you. Thank you all and I hope that you will continue to support me for many years to come!

Before I forget I must post up a funny picture of myself (as I like to think I’m humourous but not…)

Ahaha look at those faces! I amuse myself sometimes…

Hello everyone! Today I have a book posting.

I have just finished reading this book and it really was insightful to me at least. I’m a very empathetic person so I can relate a lot especially to the stronger emotions of pain, sadness, loneliness, and depression. What really struck me about this book was the spirituality portion of it all. I grew up in a Buddhist family but I don’t practice the religion and just reading the way to spiritual enlightment really struck a chord with me. Mantras are something I know really well but I never understood the application of praying to deities.

This book makes me want to explore those three options in my life (and the world travel of course); the indulgent, spirituality and balance. A new challenge perhaps?
