Review: Bonnebell Gel Bronzer in Luminizer

5 Jul

Hello everyone! Summer bronzer time though today’s review is just a highlight but it’s still a bronzy shade.

Review: A gel luminizer adding a golden glow to the skin. This is one of my favourite products to use during the summer as it adds a subtle but tannish sheen to the skin. There are no glitter chunks just fine shimmer to the product. The consistency is really nice it’s not too thick or too watery just a nice cream product which makes blending very easy.  Only a smidgen is needed for this (in the picture I put too much on my hand) and it lasts all day. No scent to report nor any change in texture as I’ve had this for over a year now. Overall, a really nice summer addition to your makeup collection and it just addeds a nice sunny glow to your skin.

Cost: $2-6CDN @ drugstores and Supermarkets

Would I recommend this product? I would it adds a nice subtle glow to the skin with a hint of bronzey glow perfect for the summer!

Review: Joe Fresh Five Minute Face Palette

5 Sep

Hello everyone! So I picked up this palette and was playing around with it this weekend and finally a review on it! Insert many many photos. (come to think of it, this is the first time I have reviewed anything with eyeshadow and included swatches…)

Swatches –

Review: I’m going to review it in parts but as a good note the eyeshadows and blushes are FULL-SIZED!! (hooray for more bang for your buck)
Eyeshadows consists of Pale Pink, Bronze, Expresso, and Midnight. Pale pink really is a sheer color and works as a nice sheen over the lids; bronze has a subtle sheen like pale pink kinda coppery without too much shimmer; expresso looks pretty matte brown shade but has some shimmers in it; midnight is all out blackened silver glitter discoball fun for those nights out. Overall the eyeshadows are pretty pigmented and are soft enough to work with. There was a lot of fallout with Midnight but I guess that was kinda expected.
Cheek products are Pink blush and Tan bronzer. Both have shimmers in them (but subtle so that they help create a glow on the skin), and they are both really soft powdery blushes. Downfall is that they are too soft this leads to a lot of fallout on the palette itself and they are like MAC sheertone blushes (just there for some shine and not much color).
Lippies are Mauve gloss and Plum cream lipstick. I dislike where these were placed they are smackdab in the middle and there are many opportunities for eyeshadow or blush fallout can fall into them. But the shades are really nice mauve is a bright light pink and has pink shimmers in it (kinda reminds me of Stila’s Pinkle Twinkle lipglaze). Plum is a semi-dark berry color and is extremely creamy and easy to apply on the lips. The lipgloss wasn’t as sticky and stuck on pretty well throughout the day. Both the lipstick and lipgloss were very pigmented and were extremely moisterizing (A+ for moisterizing factor!).
A really well put together palette.

Cost: $20.00CDN at your local Loblaws/Superstore

Would I recommend this palette? I would recommend this palette as a great starter for those starting out with makeup. This palette would be great for those who only have a limited amount of time in the morning (as it was intended for) or to transition a day look into a sultry night look. Those who have a lot of makeup you can skip out on this palette it’s nothing to awe-inspiring (and you probably have most of the shades  already).
