I probably won’t be able to blog for the next little while due to school (finals are just around the corner!!) though once school’s all done at the end of April I will have more time to work on my blog. Anyways, onto the empties post there are a lot of products that I finished this month it really surprised me!

Empties: February 2014

Hello everyone! So I haven’t been updating my blog lately… and that’s because school has been really hectic. I had a lot of assignments and papers and I just finished my midterms yay! But I hope to get back in the swing of things and whatnot but of course I must do the obligatory empties and I have a few more things this month too. As you know I haven’t been purchasing beauty products for the past two months so my stash has been decreasing which is awesome (look I finished another blush!) so without further ado here are the empties for the month of February.

Review: St. Ive’s Apricot Scrub

18 Jul

This is a review on the tub version. A very debated product in the beauty world either you hate it or you love it.

Review: The first photo looks kinda nasty doesn’t it? But putting the photos aside I have used this product before but that one was for acne/blemish skin with salicylic acid. This jar is just the regular exfoliation, the apricot seeds are grounded quite well in this product compared with the one for acne/blemish skin. I found that the scrubbies for the acne/blemish one was quite harsh while the scrubbies in this one wasn’t as harsh and didn’t feel like I was rubbing my skin with sandpaper. Overall, a good exfoliator that isn’t too harsh and gets the job done.

Cost: tub = $4.99CDN for 500mL, squeeze tube = $3.99CDN for 250 mL

Would I recommend this product? I would recommend this product for those looking for a cheap exfoliator but for those searching for a softer type of exfoliator I would recommend the Biore Even Smoother Exfoliator.

Skin Care Test

14 Feb

Since I have a break for a week I am going to do a skin care test. Some background information on my skin it’s oily/combination skin and I am pretty prone to acne breakouts. So this is the routine that I use currently:

 So the basic rundown

1. Wash face with the face cloth in warm water

2. Boots Botanics Skin Brightening Cleanser (no water needed!)

3. Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Serum on spots

4. LUSH Grease Lightning all over my face

5. St Ives Collagen Elastin Moisterizer

6. Body Shop 3-in-1 Blue Corn Mask + St Ives Apricot Scrub (not pictured) once a week

So basically I have a skin care regime basically to whiten up my dark spots due to the hyperpigmentation of the acne scars that I have. Now I got this set to try out:

This is the Shiseido Pureness set which include a cleansing foam, softener/toner, and a mattifying moisterizer. I’m going to start on this regime tonight basically and try to get through all this. So I probably won’t use all of it at the same time just substitute it all in slowly to see if any of them actually break me out or not. Tonight I will be putting on the toner and if I react to it by tomorrow then I know I won’t be able to use it and then if I don’t break out by Tuesday I will substitute my usual cleanser into the cleansing foam. Thursday will be when I substitute the moisterizer. Lets hope that I don’t break out! Here is me now midday and way into the oilyness of my life

So as you can tell I have currently clear skin with lots of scars and hyperpigmentation in a bunch of places especially on my chin and cheeks. Let’s hope that the test really works!

Organization

13 Feb

Not much is going to happen early in the morning therefore I ended up cleaning and organizing my area. But I think it ended up being much more of a mess. o.o Well, I patched up my vanity area so now it looks like this…

Warning: Another huge load of photos!

 Tada! The new layout!

Let’s do close-ups! I was so excited once I finished organizing everything.

So yeah, the basic organization of my stuff. Woohoo! All the photos have been uploaded! The drawer that I love the best out of all of the drawers I have is obviously the food drawer. ^_^ Fun times. Well, off to the Viets New Year Celebrations which are tonight. I’ll post photos of it all tomorrow and such… when I get back home I’ll be like 3 in the morning. ^_^ I promise I’m not drinking though!
