Review: Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

7 Jul

Hello everyone! A powder review today… it’s pretty good.

Review: I picked this up because I ran out of powders (again and now I have a bunch of them… I just don’t know when to stop). The shade is 001 translucent so it’s pretty translucent on my face. There is no scent and the powder works great at controlling oils and whatnot on my face I still have to blot unfortunately but not as often anymore (great!) The powder is pretty silky now since it’s pretty silky and just glides over the face nicely it’s hard to tell when to stop as is with all powders so sometimes I end up with an over powdered face (gotta learn some self controll). This also appears to cover some pores and leaves skin with a nice fresh look when used alone (not as a setting powder). What I also dislike is the packaging if I take this on a trip I’m pretty sure it’s going to be broken real quick. The trouble is the lid it has a habit of just sliding off and just freaks me out everytime I put it back in my drawer. Despite me being scared of breaking the powder because of packaging it’s a really good mattifying powder.

Cost: $4-8CDN @ drugstore and Supermarket

Would I recommend this product? I would highly recommend this for people with combination to oily skin (though if you’re really oily you’ll have to reblot but not as often as usual) and there are different shades available as well.

Review: ELF Natural Radiance Blushers

18 Jun

Hello everyone! The last ELF review for this time around (I will be repurchasing more ELF products and hopefully also order some products from the Studio line next time).

(Glow, Flushed)

Review: As you can tell the blushes are pretty pigmented except Glow which sometimes shows up or sometimes doesn’t show up on my skintone. These blushes are silky smooth as well and they are great blushes with no scent. Glow is a coral color with golden glitters in it (not huge glitter but there is some) and Flushed is a nice raspberry shade with slight glow (silver shimmer is what it looks like) and both shades work great for lighter to darker skintones. It lasts for quite some time I can get about 8 hours if I’m not moving much (office day) and about 5-6 hours if I’m moving about more (exercising). Again packaging is pretty bad it’s a slide out packaging and Glow got stuck on mine which is why it’s all powdery and broken.

Cost: $1.00USD @ eyeslipsface.com

Would I recommend this product? Yes very definately despite the packaging it’s a great product for little cost!

Review: Quo Summer Fantasy Palette – Beautiful

10 Jun

Hello everyone! So finally I get around to review this palette. There are two other variations of this palette the only thing that varies between the palettes are the eyeshadow colors. The other palettes are called Fame and Celebrity.

(5th swatch in is the blush blended together)

Review: Beautiful really is… pretty (thought I was going to type beautiful didn’t you?). It has pretty shades that are workable for any skintone and the feel of these are sooo soft and silky it’s great. Pigmentation is so-so it’s not the most pigmented product out there but it’s good as you can build up the color as needed. There is no scent from these and lasts for about a regular workday so 6-8 hours. For the eyeshadow best to use primer underneath as it can slip and slide as the shades are just super silky. Overall a pretty great travel palette but I wish instead of two spongetip applicators I would like a brush and maybe an applicator.

Cost: $20CDN exclusively @ Shoppers Drug Mart Limited Release

Would I recommend this product? I would totally recommend this palette and it’s pretty multi-talented and perfect for travelling around.
