Project Update: Month 2

5 Aug

Hello everyone! It’s rare that I will update twice in a day but this post is also pretty important as well.

Well it is the second month and I did pretty well this month as well… next month though might not be so good because there is going to be a ton of new Fall collections that will be released at the end of August. >.< At least a majority of the information on the upcoming Fall collections has been released. But anyways, this month I purchased four items from eyeslipsface.com though technically I ordered 7 items. One brush (those don’t count), one item was out of stock so they didn’t send it and one item was for a friend making it only 4 items of makeup for myself. I am really happy with how that worked out. Here are the items!

Items: High Definition Powder in Translucent, Flawless Finish Foundation in Buff, Tinted Lip Balm in Nude, and Mineral Lipstick in Rich Raspberry

All of these items I really wanted to try and ELF was having a 50% off sale so I felt compelled to purchase. I haven’t tested out the face products but I have been loving the lip products they are fantastic and I can see why everyone has been raving about them.

For facial masks as you saw in my empties post (HERE) I only actually used one… I will strive to complete more this month.

August is going to be a Lip and Eye product show and tell I took all the photos at the same time but will releasing them throughout the month so don’t be surprised to see a July calendar in the background… I forget to change it when I took the photos. So that is something to look forward to and perhaps in September I will move onto skincare and other beauty products.

So, everything was pretty good this month and I will do my best this month to work on facial masks and not buy too much from the Fall collections… until next time!

Review: Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX

23 Dec

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since a skincare review. This is a product that I’ve been using for some time now and I would like to share with you my thoughts.

Description: A sleep-in face mask that will restore moisture into your skin to make it soft and plump with the light gel-like texture.

Review: I’ve been using this product for a while now (approximately 6 months) and I have to say the initial reaction is great but as time goes by I feel as though the mask wasn’t as effective enough. The mask comes with a spatula to make sure that your germy hands don’t contaminate the product. It is a gel like cosistency and works into the skin very well. Absorbs quite quickly and the scent is a light clean scent I have no idea how to describe it. As far as masks go it is a really nice mask but with all masks it is not a necessity so for just one or two effective times I have used the mask it doesn’t break the cost of purchasing it. So I won’t be repurchasing it but those who are curious feel free to try it, it really is a nice mask just not for me.

Cost: $30 approximately online @ eBay

Would I recommend this product? For those who are curious, have money and time feel free to try it, it really is a nice mask just not for me.

Review: Joe Fresh Duo Concealer in Light

12 Jul

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I picked up any Joe products but here is one for you. For those who don’t know Joe Fresh makeup line is an exclusive (though there are talks for Joe Fresh stores to open in the US in the future) to Canadian shoppers at their local Loblaws or Superstore locations. Anyways, onto the review!

(Top: Stick, Bottom: Cream)

Review: First off I have to say that I love the idea of two products in one and this is just perfect. There’s a concealer for what type of concern you are concealer, generally liquid for the undereye area and the stick for acne blemishes or other face discoloration. Both the products work very well on the face and blends out very nicely. The cream/liquid is quite more pigmented compared to the sitck side. I feel like it’s a bit drying especially on my undereye area. Another bad thing is that I chose the wrong shade (evidently shown in the photo) so I ended using this as a color base for my eyeshadows (which work great as well it’s not as great as some other opaque bases). Another downside is that it only comes in three shades. THREE shades! Light, Medium and Dark. Kinda sad in the color selection… but overall a pretty good duo concealer please Joe release more shades!!

Cost: $8CDN @ Superstore/Loblaws

Would I recommend this product? I would recommend this product but for me I would like to pick up the next darker shade and give it a go. It’s a pretty good concealer and works very well I would recommend this product for sure.

20 things before 20

18 May

Hello everyone! So I have a 20 things before 20 list which is a list I compiled of 20 things to do before I turn 20 this September (19 to be specific). I have some time before my birthday so this list is to help me go through things that I would never do if I didn’t have a timeline. So here is my list:

1. Finish my embroidery project.

2. Read Watchmen.

3. Buy an iPad 2… enough said

4. Go to Animethon 18 which is on Aug 5-7 this year. I will be planning to go for only one day I don’t think I can get off work that easily.

5. Finish Wa-loli Kuro outfit. I started this project 3 years ago and have never finished it better late then never right?

6. Obtain a mushroom farm… kinda like this:

7. Pay mum & dad $100 from my first paycheck as well as my brother $100 (cuz I owe him for all the lunches he’s treated me to) and for my little sister $40 (she complains that she doesn’t have money all the time). Hopefully this one will be soon. ^-^

8. Get a library card… since I’m an adult I have to go get my own library card but I’ve just been lazy to go get one… I will get one though.

9. Start Youtube videos… something I’ve been wanting to do since last year but never had courage or time to make videos and put it up. I will do it for sure!!

10. Determine birthday present wishlist. I know that the iPad is on this list for a reason…

11. Determine 2 year financial plan. Since I plan to go to Japan in the upcoming 2 years I have to plan to make sure that I have enough money while travelling and such. Thus this plan… it’s going to take a lot of brain power that’s why I keep putting it aside.

12. Stay a neat freak… yeah this photo really shows how much I need to stay a neat freak.

13. Continue to study Japanese and Chinese. This one I won’t be doing anytime soon until school starts in September. I will be attending a Sat language class in Sept.

14. Try out a different martial arts even if it’s just one class I would like to try something different. Perhaps kung fu?

15. Attemp yoga/pilates. I would really like to try this but I don’t have much money to spend it on a class (financial plan) so I will learn from a book/video from the library (need library card) or Youtube is a great resource as well.

16. Try food from Sbarro, Thai Express, and Taco Bell. I just want to get out of my usual going to McDonalds or Subway to eat. I never try different foods so here are three places great to try out my taste palette.

See full size image

17. Go to a spa. I have never gone to a beauty salon so I would really like to go to one. Perhaps from Eveline Charles.

18. Go on a staycation. I am planning with my brother and sister that we should go to the car museum in Wetaskiwin and possibly the Aviation museum in Alberta. But other things for a staycation is attending Capital X (summer amusement park) and Heritage festival (showcasing different cultures from different countries) as well as Animethon of course.

19. Play Spyro: Ripto’s Rage (PS) and finish Pokemon SoulSilver (DS). I have not finished these games and would really like to for sure.

20. Attempt to make curry flavoured popcorn. I heard about the elusive curry flavoured popcorn and since there is not a big chance to come across curry flavoured popcorn I might as well make it myself.

I will be updating every time I finish an item on the list and there is no set order to complete the list as long as the list is completely finished before I turn 20.

11 Apr

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve been into fragrances and I’m thinking that I’m going to need a new fragrance for spring and one that I can wear everyday without inducing a migraine in my lil sister and mom. I’ve narrowed it down to two choices

Clean Fragrances

As you can tell both are clean, fresh fragrances so hopefully it will be a great addition to what I have currently. Those fragrances being DKNY Be delicious and DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom
