Review: Missha Watery BB Cream

21 Feb

Hello everyone! This review is for a BB cream I’ve been loving and it was one of my first BB creams.

Description: A BB cream for your best face forward. It is said to contain 60% water and makes the skin feel moisturized and looks glowy. The undertone of the BB cream is very ashy/gray toned.

Review: As with all asian BB creams a majority of them have squeeze-tube packaging and is readily available online. The shades ranges from 2-3 but in this case there is only 1 shade offered thus I found that a majority of light to medium skintones can wear this okay but not any darker skintones. This has a dewy to matte finish which finish is dependent on how much product you use. The more the dewy to less the more matte it is. The scent wasn,t to overpowering in this just a very light floral scent. Now the texture was very interesting it was like there was water molecules in the product itself but none of that was presented when I squeeze out the product. Wear time is around 4-5 hours and this does not control the amount of oils on your face so oily-skinned gals you need to prep and prime your face. This is very easy to blend but there is not a lot of coverage so I mainly use this and spot conceal to cover everything else (on good skin days). Overall, I really like this BB cream it is a really nice formula and the extra moisturizing benefits are very helpful in the winter months.

Price: $26.00CDN @ asian beauty store in Vancouver (don’t remember where sorry!) or online

Would I recommend this product? I would recommend this product to those looking for a moisturizing BB cream who are light to medium toned.

Review: Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisterizer with SPF 15

6 Apr

Hello everyone! A skincare review for you today, I just finished this product today and well here are my thoughts on it.

Review: I’m going to be honest and say that I absolutely hated hated this moisterizer. It didn’t feel like a moisterizer and it had weird sparkly bits in it. What I guess is good about it is that it does have SPF 15 (a bit low but perfect for winter time) it does sink in easily into the skin and there is no residue leftover. The pump mechanism on the bottle is really nice as it has a locking mechanism (perfect for travel). As stated before I really didn’t like this moisterizer even though I have oily skin I didn’t feel that it was moisterizing enough. And for the weird glittery bits in this well it’s small but still visible so when I catch my skin in the light sometimes I see glitter on my face. The glittery bits didn’t help with my oily skin as it made it look even more oily.

Cost: $19.99CDN @ any drugstore

Would I recommend this product? I would for those who have great normal skin who wants to give it a boost but for those with combination/oily skin stay away from this moisterizer.

Closet Space

11 Jan

Hello everyone! I am back with a picture of my closet.

Yes there is a magnet stating ”If stress burned calories I’d be a Supermodel”.

I wonder if I have too much clothes or if it’s just my sister’s clothes. But I will be cleaning out the closet soon after I rearrange the clothes in my side of the dresser.

So quick question: The clothes that you don’t wear anymore or don’t fit do you keep them or give them away/donate them? (I think I’m guilty of buying clothes I think will fit but totally don’t fit and I think I will eventually lose enough weight to wear them. In reality I have a large bone structure so I won’t be able to fit into it even if I was skinnier…).

Darn the Interweb

2 May

Yeah, I’m cursing my internet connection. Due to it I couldn’t update anything on my blog… so sad…   =o=

I got to watch this movie yesterday… hooray!

Finally got around to watching this movie yesterday. And man it was quite entertaining the characters were definately cute and unique. I liked the storyline and it’s a great movie for kids (and those for kids at heart like me) I think that there could have been more character development and the development of the friendship between the monsters but that’s just me… I like character development.

But that will be all today… I broke out again due to not healthy eating…. so painful. >o<

I don’t know why my hair is brown but it’s brown now…. not black anymore…. I’m just going to get my hair trimmed just a bit I like my hair long. ^_^

I’m going to do a collective haul post sooner or later depending on when I get the items. Maybe I should do two seperate ones… hmmmm… anyways this post is just a quick update. That and soon I will be able to make a video!

Review: Rocky Mountain Soap Company – Green Apple Lip Butter

18 Mar

I question why I review products with either long company names or long product names themselves…. everything is slowly becoming routine for these review. ^_^

Anyways, the picture:

Review: Rocky Mountain Soap Company is a 100% Canadian and Natural Company. They have many items all which are natural they are like the cheaper version of LUSH. ^_^I really like the store when I walk in it’s so homely and really does feel like nature has come out to greet you. Now this specific product has many different flavors; green apple, apricot, berry, coconut, peppermint, and summer lemonade. I personally like green apple but the other flavors smell really nice… except coconut because I’m allergic to coconuts. But putting my allergies aside this is a really nice lip butter. I use this at night to really moisterize my lips and in the morning any cracks or dry spots are gone by the next day. The reason why I don’t use this during the day is that it doesn’t have SPF which is ok I don’t mind but being a lip butter, this and Canadianweather don’t go so well together. You can get this product online as well as in stores but since Rocky Mountain Soap company is pretty small there aren’t that many stores but if you do want to visit a store you can check out their website for that information.

Cost: $3.99CDN

Would I recommend this product? I totally would recommend this product! This lip butter is going to be still one of my favourites 20 years down the road.
