Project 10 Pan 2012

22 Feb

Hello everyone! This is the first project 10 pan post for this year my gosh I’ve been on and off this more times than a bear attempting to get honey. But I will hopefully stick to it I now know much of my beauty habits (good or bad you decide that).

So I got two versions of it this year: makeup and skincare. Yes surprisingly I am stocked up on skincare products but onto the items themselves.

Items: Physician’s Formula Happy Booster Blush in Rose, Skinfood Buckwheat Loose Powder, Maybelline Popsensational Lipsticks in Citrus Slice and Raspberry Ice, NYC Blushable Creme Stick in South St. Seashell, Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in Spirited Seas, ELF Hypershine Gloss in Bare, MAC Dazzleglass Cream in Perfectly Unordinary, NYC Black eyeliner, Wet ‘n Wild White eyeliner.

Items: LUSH Tea Tree Toner, The Body Shop Camomille Eye makeup remover, Nivea AquaSensation Eye cream, Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX, Naruko Job’s Tears Night Jelly, True Blue Spa Apricot & White tea scrub, True Blue Spa Peppermint Face scrub, and Freeman Face mask in Avocado & Clay, Strawberry and Chocolate detox, and Cucumber Peel-off.

My rules are pretty simple I just need to finish up the product and keep the case to show you guys. Every two months I usually do Empties but this time I’ll just seperate out the regular empties with 10 pan items.

If you guys have gone through this let me know in the comments below and for those doing this project let’s motivate each other!

Bronze Turquoise Look

Hello everyone!

Man, rediscovering photos that I should have posted up but here is one that I did commonly during the summer and now too. Brights are still popular even in the Fall/Winter makeup trend.

Review: Tokidoki Prism Lipgloss

27 Jul

Hello everyone! A higher end makeup brand sold at Sephora that I am going to review today. These are quite loved by the Muse over at Musingsofamuse.com.

Product Description: A sheer nourishing high shine lipgloss with a yummy blueberry scent and non-sticky formula. It also contains protective kudzu and marine extracts. Ninja Dog is a blue lipgloss that is essentially clear and Burger is a orange gloss with a slight orange tint when worn.

Review: First of all I have to say it. The packaging OMG soooo cute! I think that the images and characters are the selling point for Tokidoki. Other than the packaging the yummy juicy blueberry scent and taste are lovely. For those who don’t like scents or flavours to your lipgloss you’ll have to bow out of these they don’t have a strong scent and taste but it is pretty strong. This is a pretty standard gloss with no stickiness and is only sheer. Are they worth the $20CDN pricetag for me? I personally don’t think so as there are probably better glosses in the drugstore but I would love the pick up another one due to the characters on them. (yeah I’m a packaging junkie)

Cost: $15USD/$20CDN @ Sephora

Would I recommend this product? I totally would they are quite addictive and the characters are extremely cute. I would purchase more but I rarely finish a lipgloss so I’ll just bear with the two I currently have.

Review: MAC Dazzleglass Creme in Perfectly Unordinary

21 Jun

Hello everyone! Remember when I ordered some stuff from allcosmeticswholesale.com well this is the first product I’ll be reviewing from it. This MAC lipgloss was limited edition and is currently not available at MAC counters and stores.

Review: I wasn’t expecting to be blown away or anything but it was sort of like a meh it’s pretty good but not that good sort of feel for me. MAC Dazzleglass Cremes were released back in 2010 I believe in it’s own collection it is a mixture between the Dazzleglass formula (glitter) and Cremesheen (creamy) formulas. I picked up Perfectly Unordinary which is a mid-tone pink with gold glitter. It’s a pretty ordinary color something for everyday which is great and the glitters add a nice oomph to the shade to make it a little different from other gloss shades on the market but I still feel like it’s still dupable. Anyways, packaging is nice and there is no MAC signature vanilla scent. Wear time for me ends up being about 2-3 hours without eating and drinking (I drink a lot of water what can I say?) it’s also non-sticky. What I dislike is that after the gloss wears away the glitter is leftover on your lips… which isn’t attractive at all. Overall, a nice gloss but not a huge fan of the formula.

Cost: $10 USD @ allcosmeticswholesale.com

Would I recommend this product? I would but the glitter puts me off purchasing more of these types of glosses from MAC. If you like glitter than this is for you but if not then I don’t recommend it.

When is enough?

8 Jun

Hello everyone! So the question that I have today is when do you know you have enough stuff; in my case beauty products. I admit to being a product hoarder but to be honest there really is no reason why I have so much stuff. I use most of the products on a daily basis but the pile just seems to keep growing.

Things like body lotions, hair and skincare products and most of all makeup. I like all these things and to be honest it doesn’t look like I have a hoarding problem but if I do this:

Oh my… there are a lot of products to use. So I have set a goal for myself to finish a majority of these products (especially makeup products) by September as well as to NOT PURCHASE anything new. That gives me some time and I can monitor how many products that I finish and how long it took which will in turn give me an idea on how to finish up the rest of the products. Also, by stopping in September it will give me a chance to see the awesome fall and winter collections which I will most likely purchase. I think it will be difficult to stay on track so I employed a robot whom I am a HUGE fan of to help keep me on track.

The trainer:

Wall-E hates wasting products so he’ll encourage me to use every last drop! Attempt at being eco-concious.

And hey, even if I don’t finish some products it’s going to be okay I have the rest of the year anyways!

EDIT: Just so that no one freaks out all of this was purchased over a period of 3 years. I did not go out one day and decide to buy that many products in one go. ^-^
