Review: Maybelline ShineSensational Lipgloss – Watermelon

22 Nov

Hello everyone!

A review today for a pretty good drugstore lipgloss.

Description: Giving you an incredible shine and exceptional great tasting gloss.

Review: This lipgloss tastes like watermelons and is a essentially red jelly gloss. I personally love it as an everyday gloss the formula is light, non sticky, and doesn’t settle into the lip lines. The gloss lasts for about 3-4 hours without eating or drinking so about average for a lipgloss.

Cost: $4-8 CDN @ various drugstores

Would I recommend this product? I totally would it’s a really great everyday gloss and the range of colors is just awesome. I would have picked up more but I got no space for it boo…

Review: Joe Fresh Duo Concealer in Light

12 Jul

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I picked up any Joe products but here is one for you. For those who don’t know Joe Fresh makeup line is an exclusive (though there are talks for Joe Fresh stores to open in the US in the future) to Canadian shoppers at their local Loblaws or Superstore locations. Anyways, onto the review!

(Top: Stick, Bottom: Cream)

Review: First off I have to say that I love the idea of two products in one and this is just perfect. There’s a concealer for what type of concern you are concealer, generally liquid for the undereye area and the stick for acne blemishes or other face discoloration. Both the products work very well on the face and blends out very nicely. The cream/liquid is quite more pigmented compared to the sitck side. I feel like it’s a bit drying especially on my undereye area. Another bad thing is that I chose the wrong shade (evidently shown in the photo) so I ended using this as a color base for my eyeshadows (which work great as well it’s not as great as some other opaque bases). Another downside is that it only comes in three shades. THREE shades! Light, Medium and Dark. Kinda sad in the color selection… but overall a pretty good duo concealer please Joe release more shades!!

Cost: $8CDN @ Superstore/Loblaws

Would I recommend this product? I would recommend this product but for me I would like to pick up the next darker shade and give it a go. It’s a pretty good concealer and works very well I would recommend this product for sure.

Review: Bonnebell Gel Bronzer in Luminizer

5 Jul

Hello everyone! Summer bronzer time though today’s review is just a highlight but it’s still a bronzy shade.

Review: A gel luminizer adding a golden glow to the skin. This is one of my favourite products to use during the summer as it adds a subtle but tannish sheen to the skin. There are no glitter chunks just fine shimmer to the product. The consistency is really nice it’s not too thick or too watery just a nice cream product which makes blending very easy.  Only a smidgen is needed for this (in the picture I put too much on my hand) and it lasts all day. No scent to report nor any change in texture as I’ve had this for over a year now. Overall, a really nice summer addition to your makeup collection and it just addeds a nice sunny glow to your skin.

Cost: $2-6CDN @ drugstores and Supermarkets

Would I recommend this product? I would it adds a nice subtle glow to the skin with a hint of bronzey glow perfect for the summer!

NO not these guys:

I’m talking about the challenges that I took up for the past week. I failed!!!

Great photoshopping skillz… ^_^

Despite the fact that I didn’t carry all the way through the internet challenge I’m quite satisfied with what I achieved and learned through this.

What I learned from both challenges:

It takes time and dedication to carry through on everything you said that you are going to do.

Perseverance is key!

From now on I’m going to apply that perserverance and dedication towards my school work as well as on my blog and other aspects in my life.

There is light at the end of the tunnel!

Allergies

30 Mar

Ever got those really bad allergies that you just can’t do anything plus being sick on top of that? Well thats what happened to me lately thus not as much posts as I usually put up. Just want to put it out there to the world… allergies are serious things!!! don’t take it lightly like my mom…. the reason why I got sick in the first place….

To understand my allergies I’ll do my best to explain it through photos

Allergy #1

 =

Yeah, both rashes and hives plus the onslaught of headaches and muscle soreness…. in the end me not feeling so great.

Allergy #2

 =

Skin irritation from touching mangoes… I can eat it but I can’t touch the actual thing…. sorry mom can’t cut the mangoes for you….

Allergy #3

 =

And this does not come from staring at the sun…. something with the amount of light hitting my eyes. I totally did not know that I had this allergy until my optometrist was like ‘oh your eyes are photosensitive’. Nice to know after the fact that I got these symptoms for like most of my life.

Anyways, so those are my allergies… coconuts being the most serious…. anyone have some funky allergies??
