Review: Integrate Eyebrow and Nose Powder

27 Feb

Hello everyone! So a blog post on a really good brow product that I love. I only have two brow products but both will last me for some time but today’s brow product comes from Japan.

Description: An everyday brow product that works well with you. Swatches were done with one swipe.

Review: I reviewed a brow powder before from Clinique (which I hated details here) and this one is much better. The light flesh shade is actually used as a contour on the sides of the nose bridge to imitate/ provide an illusion of a higher nose bridge. The other two shades are used for the brow the golden at the front and the brown at the end (evidently). The powders themselves are very soft and easy to use and I found that the applicator that comes with the compact makes the usage very simple and easy. It is pigmented (as you can tell from the swatch) but blends easily on the brows as in it becomes one with your brows. Packaging is simple but works great and I love how small it is (hooray for not taking up too much space in my makeup storage). Overall, I think this is a great brow powder that will last me for quite some time.

Cost: $15-20USD @ online sites (ebay.ca)

Would I recommend this product? I would it is a really great powder for the brows and the fact that the lightest shade can be used as a nose contour makes this a great multitasker. If you dislike the wait time associated with air mail it’s not worth it for you but this is one of my favourites.

Review: ELF Hypershine Gloss

15 Jun

Hello everyone! I’m going to be going on an ELF review run so that I can get these reviews out of the way. And sorry for the amount of reviews I’ll be posting it’s just that I’m really behind on reviews.

(L-R: Flirt, Berry Cherry, Blossom)

Review: The shades I got are flirt (a neutral corally pink shade), Berry Cherry (dark plum red shade), and Blossom (light bright pink shade) So theses glosses are super shiny as it suggests but the lasting power isn’t long for me it lasts for about 1 hour max thus leading to lots of application over the period of a day. Now if it was more expensive I probably won’t repurchase but since it’s a dollar than it is understandable. The pigmentation is very low overall so it can look like a clear gloss on your lips (in the picture I really put it on).  Works greart overtop of lipsticks or bare lips. To me there is a maple syrup scent which I love (love love love maple syrup) and the applicator is pretty good I guess. At the beginning of course you must twist it about 20 times before product comes out. Overall it’s a mediocre product for a good price but I would repurchase because of the scent and I find that I do reach for them much more than my other lipglosses.

Cost: $1.00USD @ eyeslipsface.com

Would I recommend this product? Yes I totally would for those looking for a regular lipgloss and I will be repurchasing more in the future as well.

Review: Hard Candy Glossaholic in Gorgeous

30 May

Hello everyone! A review today I picked this up a while ago and have been using it for some time then realized I didn’t review it yet so here it is.

Review: Let me start off by saying that this gloss is bigger than the ones on the market. It contains 0.38 fl oz. while regular is around 0.17 fl oz. That’s double the size and it’s at a really great price too! If you can see in the swatch there are chunky glitters in the gloss itself that depending on the light can be a green or red flecks. It is a pretty standard pink color with the glitters that add some extra oomph to the gloss. Wear time is the same for any gloss around 2-3 hours with/without eating and drinking. I like that it’s not extremely sticky but still stays on the lips for quite some time. There is a vanilla cake batter scent but that goes away after some time. This gloss looks great on it’s own or on top of a lipstick. For the cons since this gloss is bigger than other glosses on the market the applicator can sometimes get stuck in the small hole but can be easily fixed by applying force. Overall a great gloss for a good price.

Cost: $4.79CDN @ Walmart

Would I recommend this product? I would recommend this product  for those who love glitter in their glosses or for those looking for a basic color with some pop but I won’t be purchasing anymore as chunks of glitter isn’t my cup of tea.
