Drugs again

27 Apr

Hello everyone! I’m sorry to disappoint you all but I am again on acne medication. Ugh… it seems to happen quite often around this time of year. Final exams are over but I still have spots to remember the stressful times. Anyways, the doc said to try Doxycycline which kills bacteria inside out apparently and use the BenzaClin as a spot treatment. I am happy to report things were great the first two days and then I got more spots!! Then I realized it was the time of the month so… it makes sense. I didn’t remember what it was like the first time around but now I don’t know how I lived with the dry/tight skin feel and extremely sensitive skin. Man, I’m putting on sunscreen like CRAZY!! So to prove that I’m not lying (I mean why would you doubt me?) here’s a photo:

Oh, my sister cut my hair a while back and now it’s all summery short (which is nice) and today I got a pretty cool hairstyle after blowdrying check it:

Hee hee, one side straight the other… ahahaha I can’t help but laugh at myself. Hope you all are having a great day!!

New Skin

24 Jan

Hello everyone! So I have started a new skincare routine and it all starts with a package coming in the mail from the US. My mom apparently ordered these products and they are a whitening line of skincare which will also diminish breakouts as well. I am sceptical about it stopping my acne but I’m going to give it a try. Photos of the products:

The items in this line includes Day Cream, Night Cream, Tretanoin (0.1%), Sunscreen (tinted), Peeling cream, cell treatment cream, hydrating whitening gel cleanser, treatment (toner).

Vaseline for your face?

20 Jan

Hello everyone! I have asked a lot of people this question to see if it was safe to put vaseline/petrolum jelly on your face.

The common misconception is that it can clog pores and will result in acne.  Well I’m going to have to say “no” vaseline/petrolum jelly is classified as noncosmodegenic therefore cannot clog pores but since it is thick in density it can BLOCK pores that could result in new acne. So just feel free to use it on your face but be sure to rinse it off after some time.

Other makeup uses of vaseline is a lash conditioner (just put some on your eyelashes at night), eye makeup remover (one of the best there is), and of course as lip gloss.

It’s BACK??!!

13 Dec

Noooo!!!! My acne has come back!!!! Why do I still have to suffer from it? So I guess I am back on finding products that work for me again… *sigh. Well at least I can blog about my progress and such… like I did last year… I wonder if it’s seasonal…

I’ll leave you with a photo of my face but the lighting was bad so you can’t see the extent of how terrible it is…

So painful!!

Eastern Beauty

23 Aug

Hi! So since I finished my pills for killing bacteria from my doctor (hated it BTW made me feel sick at night and horrible stomach pains) my mom decided to go back to what she knew. Eastern medication. The dreaded bitter Eastern medicine. Which was why I asked about Western pills for controlling my acne because I totally did not want to taste/drink anything bitter. The meds sort of worked just didn’t like some of the side effects and I still get acne but at least not as much cystic acne (that was a painful process of my life). Anyways, enough ranting here are the Eastern medication my mom had decided to get for me.

Anti-acne gel mainly for spot treatment and acne pills. Like the catchphrase for the pills? “Dan Lap Ching a Day, Pimple goes Away!”. Great catchphrase but putting that aside I have now found where to get some asian beauty items in Edmonton. Hooray!

I will try to work this into my routine mainly because I have a lot that I want to try right now. Decisions, decisions…
