Review: Wet ‘n Wild Trio in Silent Treatment

31 May

Hello everyone! I cannot say good things and am running out of words to describe these palettes other then they are awesome but I still must continue to do my best in reviewing these. We are halfway through reviewing all the trios that I own from Wet ‘n Wild.

Description: A trio with cooler eye shadows Browbone is a light shimmering pink, Crease is a dark glittering brown, and Eyelid is a shimmering cool-tone gray taupe.

Review: This trio is a gorgeous blend of light and dark colors and is definitely suited for cooler months. My favourite shade out of this entire palette is actually the crease shade and it is a little sheerer than most dark browns thus can be easily packed on for intensity or just a sheer darken brown perfect for contouring the eyelid. Once again, the eye shadows are smooth, buttery and creamy but can be blended off the eye very easily. Overall, a great palette for cooler months as well as for everyday purposes.

Cost: $3.99CDN @ Superstore and Walmart

Review: Etude House Moisturizing Sleeping Pack

30 May

Hello everyone! A skincare review today and this is a great product for those who don’t want to deal with sheet masks and waiting for masks to dry in general.

IMG_1568 IMG_1569 IMG_1571

Description: A face mask meant to be used overnight this is the moisturizing meant to plump up and penetrate deeply to leave skin extremely moisturized in the morning.

Review: First off I think I should explain the concept of sleeping packs. They are essentially masks without having to wait for the essence to penetrate into the skin like with a typical sheet mask nor do you have to wait for the product to dry or wait a set amount of time to wash off an applied face mask. Essentially a mask that you can sleep on overnight and wake up to beautiful results in the morning. Etude House has three types available for purchase, obviously I got the moisturizing one and the other two are a pore/oil-control pack and a brightening pack. The texture is a light gel which is transparent and gives that skin a jelly-like glow when you first apply and even though it seems like the product just sits on the skin it doesn’t travel off your face to your pillows or blankets. In the morning my skin definitely feels moisturized and it looks a little brighter and healthy. There is a slight scent but it is just slightly noticeable but those who are sensitive just be aware that it may smell a bit fruity-floral while using this product. Overall, a great product that is easy to use and works great I can’t wait to try some other sleeping packs that Korea has to offer.

Cost: $10-15 CDN @ (various sellers)

Would I recommend this product? Yes, this is a great way to get the benefits of a sleeping mask without having to wait for it to dry and works great!

Review: Wet ‘n Wild Trio in Walking on Eggshells

29 May

Hello everyone! Another Wet ‘n Wild trio review with more of a neutral approach.

IMG_1624 IMG_1626 IMG_1674

Description: A neutral trio with Browbone being a golden yellow highlight shimmer, Crease a tan brown with shimmer, and Eyelid a light golden pink with shimmer.

Review: This trio actually leans a bit more on the warm side but is still gorgeous on all skin tones. All the eyeshadows were pigmented, soft and buttery, as well as easy to blend. Once again if you blend these eyeshadows too much they will end up being muddied on the eyes or just cease to exist on your eyelids. There isn’t much to say compared to the previous review but overall, a great trio to have and I cannot recommend enough of these Wet ‘n Wild trios.

Cost: $3.99CDN @ Superstore and Walmart

Would I recommend this product? Yes, this is the perfect everyday neutral warm trio that everyone should have.

22 Things Before 22

28 May

Hello everyone! A fun post today do you remember when I did 20 Things before 20 post? It was a really long time ago but I wanted to do something similar to that this year as well. So this year I am turning 22 on Sept 19 which is pretty exciting and this gives me quite a bit of time to complete the 22 things on my list. Here are the items:

1. Go to Comic-Con Calgary Already went and it was awesome!

2. Go to Animethon – This was an original goal from the original list and I definitely want to go again this year.

3. Start making Youtube videos – Again this was on the original list but I still haven’t done it yet but I do want to utilize Youtube as another way of giving information in conjunction to my blog.

4. Go to the Mutart Conservatory – Essentially a greenhouse in Edmonton and I haven’t been there since I was a kid. I think it’s time to go back and rediscover that place.

5. Make a gluten-free cake – I am going to cheat at this and make it from a box mainly because I’m interested in what it will taste like.

6. Watch Soul Eater – My sister has been threatening me to watch this anime so I will watch it and let you know what I think about it at the end.

7. Watch Kimi ni Todoke Seasons 1 + 2 – I love this series but have been putting off actually watching the series as I thought the manga was enough. Now it is time to watch it.

8. Purchase a Lolita outfit – I always wanted to try out this fashion style and was always scared by the cost of each outfit but there are some good alternatives nowadays so I think this year I will make my first Lolita purchase.

9. Finish Cake Cushions – This has been on my list of to do things for a while and there are 4 more cakes that have to be made so might as well get started and finish it.

10. Sew a patchwork quilt – Another goal I have had since the end of high school so hopefully this one will be an actual quilt with batting in it!

 (Hopefully something like this from

11. Make 30 cards – I am extremely lazy when it comes to cards and when I do make them I make one at a time and it doesn’t have the therapeutic feeling as it used to so I’m going to try to pick up this hobby again.

12. Marathon The Lord of the Rings trilogy movie – I feel like I do this every year and it’s a tradition that cannot be stopped!

13. Read The Lord of the Rings trilogy – Even though I am a huge fan of the movies I cannot summon myself to actually pick up and read the trilogy. Might as well start and finish it this time.

14. Drink something from Jugo Juice and Booster Juice – I have been intrigued by both places and have not actually ordered anything from both places so might as well try something new and I love drinking juice.

15. Get ears pierced – I have never ever gotten my ears pierced but have wanted to for the longest time so now it is time for them to get pierced hopefully it won’t hurt too bad.

16. Go Bowling – This is a must! I love to go bowling and it seems like a really fun team building atmosphere.

17. Go laser tagging – Also another must if not I can make do with shooting things but I really do want to try this!

18. Play Ni no Kuni – I have actually purchased the game but have not started on it but a game animated by Studio Ghibli and music by Joe Hisaishi!

19. Visit Crepe Symphony – A place in Edmonton known for it’s awesome interior and even more awesome crepes.

20. Eat at IHOP – Another place I want to eat at thanks to my sister telling me stories about this place.

21. Play Pokémon  Black 2 – I have once again purchased this game but have not started this it seems pretty exciting!

22. Read Garth Nix’s The Keys to the Kingdom series – I have started this series when I was little so now that I found out that the series has concluded it is time to mass read this!

And that is everything for this year so since I’ve already completed one thing on this list 21 more to go!

Review: Wet ‘n Wild Trio in Don’t Steal my Thunder

27 May

Hello everyone! This is the start of many Wet ‘n Wild trio reviews so please be prepared or feel free to tune out for the next little while.

IMG_1640 IMG_1643 IMG_1668

Description: A silver smokey eye trio. Browbone shade is a shimmering bright white, Crease is a matte black, and Eyelid is a shimmering grey silver.

Review: I have a general love for Wet ‘n Wild eyeshadows considering their price tag and how pigmented their shades are. This trio does not disappoint all three shades are pigmented and can be built up. With a primer they can easily last for 8 hours and more but on my oily lids without primer takes about 4 hours for the shades to appear somewhat muddy and not as bright as when I first apply them. The shades are very soft and pigmented but sometime you can easily blend the shade off your eyelid. Overall, a great eyeshadow palette for those on a budget and are looking for great eyeshadows.

Cost: $3.99CDN @ Superstore and Walmart

Would I recommend this product? Yes, this eyeshadow trio is excellent.
